FAQ

Is Protocol good for beginners?

Yes. Every class is coached start to finish, and we teach you how to scale movements so you build capacity safely from day one.

What is different from a normal gym membership?

Get the best programming every day and make sure you are executing flawlessly without any mental load. We handle the plan, coach every rep, and keep the environment dialed in. Members can still train solo during open gym hours.

Are classes coached the whole time?

Yes. Coaches lead the warm-up, teach the lifts, set pacing, and give real-time cues during conditioning so you get better every session.

What should I bring?

Athletic shoes, a water bottle, and layers you can move in. We provide all equipment and filtered water.

How often should I come per week?

Most members train 3-5 days per week. If you are restarting, begin with 2-3 classes and add frequency as you recover well.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes. Your first class is free. Book a class that looks interesting and try the space before you decide.

What are your class times?

We run coached classes mornings and evenings throughout the week so you can train before or after work. Open gym is available to members 24/7 outside of class times.

Where do I park?

Parking is free anywhere in the lot at 1508 128th Pl NE. The 130th/BelRed light rail stop is about a 5-minute walk if you prefer transit.

Do you offer personal training?

We completely focus on coached group classes. If you want one-on-one guidance for a skill or goal, talk to a coach and we will provide local recommendations.

Is this CrossFit?

We use a similar functional fitness and cross-training style, but Protocol is not affiliated with CrossFit. Classes are fully coached and programmed in-house.

What if I am returning after time off?

We meet you where you are. Expect lighter loading, pacing guidance, and a plan to rebuild strength and conditioning without overdoing it.

Is Protocol good for busy professionals in Bellevue?

Yes. The gym is central to the Bellevue tech corridor, and classes are efficient so you can train, shower, and get back to work on time.
